Easter is not just a story of hope, it is the declaration of victory. When Jesus went to the cross, it looked like defeat, like darkness had won and the enemy had the final word, but the resurrection revealed something greater. Jesus did not just rise, He defeated sin, death, and the powers of darkness. And that changes how we understand Ephesians 6. Paul tells us we are in a battle, not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces, yet he does not tell us to win the battle, he tells us to stand. Why? Because the victory has already been won through Christ. The armor of God is not something we build, it is something we put on, it is everything Jesus has already accomplished for us, His truth, His righteousness, His peace, His salvation. So Easter means we are not fighting for victory, we are standing in it, and the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the power that now equips us to stand firm against the enemy.
